Character: Character Name: Elladora Guffy Nicknames: 'El' or 'Scruffy Guffy' or sometimes just 'Scruffy' Age/birthdate: December 18th, 1963 (she'll return at 19 cause it's the point that she enjoyed life the most) Wand: 12 inches, oak, phoenix feather Bloodline: Muggle-born Why this character?: I was asked to make her. Much with the evil plotness. What the Lexicon says: Just that she enjoys playing practical jokes and often turns her neighbor's garden into furniture. Potential Plotters: The whole of Roxanne's family and Roxanne herself. Sirius Black and any of the others who went to school in the 70's. PB: Lily Allen Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Personality: Elladora has always been an odd girl from the very beginning. She was never shy or uncertain of herself but rather very outgoing and confident in all aspects of her life. She was a bright girl but sometimes seemed to lack common sense during daily activities. She can also be described as a fiery girl with a rampant spirit that enjoys having a good time. She is very outgoing and outspoken and never holds back her opinions which often makes her a rather loud mouth and seemingly unkind girl. She loves to laugh (it's a favorite pastime) and play practical jokes on all people young or old, rich or poor. She's very energetic and silly which gives her a spontaneous air that never quite lets her cool down. She's very easy going and loves meeting new people and getting into new situations which is sometimes a bad thing cause she never says no to anything. Her personal philosophy is the oh so very original "You only live once" or "why limit yourself?" Also she is always willing to try things twice just to make sure she does or doesn't agree with it. Family: Mother: Clementine Williams Father Joseph Guffy Siblings: Two younger brothers Joseph and Jeremiah. Elladora doesn't share much of a relationship with her parents or siblings, she's always been a 'rebel' and 'anarchist' and has been described to have 'gone off the deep end'. Her family and her have a lot of differences that keep them on edge around each other despite Ella's biggest flaw being her outgoing fiery spirit. Personal History: This is the story of a good girl gone bad. Elladora is the oldest of three children and the only daughter born to the Guffy family. She lived a relatively normal life despite the occasional random occurrences of odd happenings (that were part of the magical blood in her) and usual drama between siblings that escalated into far more hatred than anything else. Her parents being muggles gave them no conception of the magical world or the fact that their daughter was a witch; the lack of knowledge led them to ignore her bursts of magic and often took them as a practical joke or something or other up until the point that it happened more often at which time they attempted to get her to suppress the oddity which resulted in the opposite effect. It became more apparent that she was some kind of freak or other by the time she was 10. Luckily enough for both her parents and Elladora she received her letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry the next year when she was 11. Her parents saw this as a gateway to get rid of their freakish daughter, which Elladora quite knew, and sent her off immediately in the Fall of 1974. Elladora was sorted into Hufflepuff. This rejection by Elladora's parents almost killed El's fiery spirit but instead of sinking into a deep depression and mourning over it she flourished and clung to that wild outgoing side of her personality which got her in with the rebels at school and very much the hippie group. She was part a pot-smoking gang of no good jokers who would never do anything with their lives sort and nearly went down that path herself but was rescued from it by a girl named Lysandra Burb whom El fell in love with. All was fair game in the 70's after all; an era of peace and love. Lysandra couldn't have rescued Elladora at a better time as she had just gotten into her cocaine and opium addiction which was far more modified than it could have been and turned from a daily use to an occasional lets have a good fuck one. Also, school wise Elladora picked herself up off the bottom of the class just to land herself at about average, she really couldn't get herself to care about her studies and aspired to be very little other than a secretary in a future part of her life. She had little motivation to do anything other than live and let live and do whatever the hell she pleased. She didn't want to conform and join the masses of the unthinking majority and so she didn't. Indeed, at one point both her and Lysandra became part of the underground and lived the lives of punk-ish rock n' rollers. From this experience Elladora fell in love with and wanted to be Sid Vicious (damn Nancy Spungen!) but was never successful in that endeavor. After school Elladora's history blurred a little and she really just dropped off the map. She joined the muggle-world she was born into and obtained a job there as a secretary for a small dental practice, it wasn't the life she wanted to live but it was far more practical than her out going ideals of constant travel and continuous free love. This led around to an eventual depression and Elladora often spent her nights drinking in a bar and passing out until 10am most days of the week. As a result she lost her job and sank even lower into the ultimate upset and turned to drugs as a typical means to solve her problems. She got hooked on cocaine again and couldn't kick the habit and soon enough her addiction left her every endeavor a mere means of finding that next high. She turned to theft, lies, even sex to get the money to buy her poison. She eventually died of a drug overdose alone in her apartment. She was 30 years old. Samples: "Well why the hell should I care if you don't?" the girl insisted and clambered off the bed in order to dig through a corner table for a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. "I mean, christ it's just a freaking bill. We can pay it next week and it'll be fine and dandy as usual," Elladora blew a puff of smoke and offered the stick over to the half dressed man she shared a room with. "I'll get some money or something from my parents, don't stress it." That had been her suggestion to everything this last month. Don't stress it. She was a firm believer that everything would work itself out on it's own because things happened for a reason. Jared, who was the man's name just looked at the girl with an annoyed expression on his face, "Don't stress it," he mocked Elladora and shook his head, "We're getting fucking kicked out, El, we've lost the place so pack your crap and get out by Wednesday, no shit." With no more than that he turned tail and fled like a coward leaving the girl alone and confused. What the hell just happened? Who does she support?: Undecided because she can't really give a fuck about either side of the war. Though she does sometimes sympathize (despite being muggle-born) with Voldemort because muggles in her opinion, are bastards that destroy everything. | |||||||||
